LEADS Program

Program Overview

Learn Entrepreneurship and Applicable Digital Skills (LEADS), a grassroots program established by the Wootlab Foundation and implemented under the Digital Skills Nigeria initiative, was inspired by the extended ASUU strike of 2022, which led to a period of decreased youth productivity. This initiative made a substantial contribution to the digital economy by imparting high calibre employability and entrepreneurial skills to the youth of Nigeria. In 2022, the program was pivotal in fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth while simultaneously facilitating job creation within the country.Wootlab Foundation successfully trained over 24,000 beneficiaries, harnessing strategic e-learning resources that encompassed two-week virtual instructor-led sessions and the Microsoft Community Training (MCT) platform for self-paced learning. This comprehensive approach to skill development was made possible through strategic partnerships with entities such as the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) and the Footright Organization.
