Project START (Kampala Edition)

Program Overview

Project START was a transformative initiative led by Mumsbooth, a non profit organisation, dedicated to empowering women by equipping them with essential skills, thereby paving the way for entrepreneurial endeavors and sustainable livelihoods. In a strategic partnership, Wootlab Foundation, in collaboration with Microsoft, assumed the role of the implementing partner. This alliance enabled the provisioning of comprehensive learning materials and harnessed the Microsoft Community Training portal, ensuring the delivery of a structured and impactful learning pathway to the selected beneficiaries. This commendable undertaking yielded significant social impact, notably in the vibrant city of Kampala, Uganda, where over 400 women have been the fortunate recipients of this transformative initiative. Through Project START, these women have gained not only knowledge but also the tools and resources needed to shape their destinies. The initiative bestowed upon them unrestricted access to a vast repository of expertly curated educational materials via an accessible e-learning platform.The profound implications of this endeavor extend beyond mere skill acquisition. It was a catalyst for economic empowerment, gender equality, and community development. By investing in the potential of these women, we sowed the seeds of sustainable change, where individuals are not just beneficiaries but active contributors to their communities' progress.
